All the books take a simple approach using easy language. Starting with a look at the condition, they give a concise overview giving the reader a good understanding of the condition. They go on to help the reader consider and recognise how it's working within themselves and then gives real practical methods to better handle the condition, minimising the negative effects.
Starts by looking at what stress and anxiety are, explaining that some stress is required to function properly, but the problem is when there is too much. It then looks at levels of stress, and encourages the reader to consider what factors might determine their level at any one time and how to recognise the symptoms.
It goes on to give real practical advice on reducing levels such as rearranging tasks to be more efficient, being realistic about what can be done, and generally maintaining a healthy balance in your life.

Depression means different things to different people so the book starts by examining what is meant by the term. It can be caused by external events, in which case it is easily understood, normal, and should eventually clear. However it can also occur spontaneously, with no apparent reason, or linger on longer than expected. This is when it can become a debilitating problem.
It examines typical thought processes that can make it hard to get out of a period of depression and gives practical methods that can help break that cycle.
It aims to provide the reader with techniques and approaches to combat depression.

OCD causes intrusive thoughts and compulsions to frequently occupy the mind. This can be debilitating by occupying so much of the person's time and thoughts during the day.
This guide explains that it is not so much the thoughts that are the problem, but more the way people decide to deal with them. It takes the reader through how to recognise their particular thoughts and compulsions and consider how they are responding to them.
It goes on to explain how there may be alternative ways to respond that could be more effective in controlling them and minimise impact.
